Tomorrows Time Trial is CANCELED!!! Series will begin on May 6. Sorry for the short notice, but the rain/snow/temperature combination doesn’t lend itself to a good experience on the bike.

So here’s what next week is looking like…

Monday, May 4 – Pre-registration for both Series, with price break and discount to COCC Physiology Lab with FULL series registration. Details to come.

Tuesday, May 5 – Start of Mtn Bike Short Track Series
Wednesday, May 6 – Start of Time Trial Series

Friday, April 24, 2009:

Hi folks. The start of the Time Trial Series is upon us. Only 5 days away. Take a look at the website for details...
http://centraloregonracing.com/races/coracingttseries.htm

Registration will be $10 per race, with one exception...

I will be set up at Sunnyside Sports Tuesday evening, April 28 from 5-7pm. I'll have a table on the Newport side of the shop, near the water feature. You will have the opportunity to register, fill out your paperwork, get your OBRA license, and have a couple incentives available.

Tuesday night only I will be offering a reduced rate to racers signing up for the ENTIRE series, $50. So you'll be getting a FREE race out of the deal. You'll also have an assigned start time for the whole series. You will still need to re-sign your waiver every week, but you'll have your start time all set up.

You'll also receive a 25% discount for tests at the COCC Physiology Lab (VO2, Lactate, Power, etc) with the Series Registration. The fine print on this deal is you must get tested by the end of Spring Term, middle of June.

So come down to Sunnyside Tuesday evening to get some sweet deals. Riding Hammerfest? Just show up a little early to take advantage. Spread the word about this deal and I hope to see you all Tuesday. I will have ALL forms and paperwork at Sunnyside. So just bring your checkbook and know your OBRA number if you already have it.

This deal will only be given IN-PERSON. No phone, email, text deals available.

Hi folks. Just got back from Mt Bachelor where the Winter Triathlon National Championships were held. Central Oregon Racing was brought in for timing this year’s event. Things went as smooth as any race I've been a part of. Bill Warburton is responsible for a fantastic event this year. Results are now available.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008:

Winter is here, finally. I guess we can finally put a close to the 2008 season. Time to start looking ahead to 2009. If you're looking for something to get you fit through the winter, there are plenty of options around. Depending on the weather in town, running can be a fun option. East of town is generally a good place to get away from the snow.

Cross country skiing is a great way to get fit, regardless of your focus in the summer. If you need advice on equipment, where to ski or even some good workouts, email me.

Winter is also the best time of year to focus on strength training. The thing to remember is you don't want a lot of power in your routine. If the focus is spring/summer, now is the time for low weight/high reps. So get to the gym now to get the most benefit.

I will also be teaching a few activity classes at the college this winter. So if you're looking for a guided workout, take a look at what I'll be offering; on-snow skate skiing, spinning, and a functional training based circuit class.

Enjoy the snow and have a Happy Holiday season!

Fall 2008:

We're wrapping up another season of racing for the 2008 season. Winters starting to set in and its time to start looking ahead to next seasons races. Details are still being worked out, but I am planning to bring back the C.O. Racing TT Series. I'll also being adding a Mountain Bike Short Track Series on Tuesdays, alternating weeks with my Running Series. I will also be holding the 2nd annual NWX Friday Night Crit. A C.O. Racing Cyclocross Omnium is also looking likely for Fall 2009. That will involve an Individual Time Trial, a standard Cross Race, and finishing with a Roubaix.

Spring 2008:

Welcome to Central Oregon Racing. Here you'll find a full race schedule for cycling, running, skiing, triathlons, and more. I have posted links for race information, results, training information, and links to some great local supporters of racing.

As the summer race season comes to a close, the fall offers us plenty of racing excitement. Enjoy the cooler weather, and get out on those trails before the snow takes over. It won't be long now.

Have a look around the site and let me know what you think. Also, please let me know if there are any races that you don't find on here.

In addition to this site I am also a race promoter. As a racer, I feel that I understand the important aspects to putting on a race, and I pride myself in getting results posted as fast as I can. So if you're an organization hoping to put on a race or you have some great race ideas, shoot me an email.

That's it for now. So take care of yourselves and don't forget to

BE HAPPY and BE HEALTHY!!!
